The World Cafe has produced a remembrance of Aretha Franklin's music and amazing life. WITH will air this special today at 2PM. 

Rochester's Mikaela Davis comes home for a show and CD release party at Abilene Saturday 8/11 before heading to Europe. She will be showcasing her new album "Delivery". She will join Scott in the studio for an interview and live music Saturday Morning beginning at 10AM.

Automatic for the People is one of the darker pop albums of the era. Songs about suicide prevention and tragedy were not exactly what the producers were hoping for, but the band stayed with their vision. Is there a lesson there?

Different Radio will air concert sets from this year's Newport Folk Festival from 9AM to Noon, and again 6PM to Midnight. Wilco, John Prine, Shovels & Rope,  and Hurray for the Riff Raff are just some of the acts you can hear. It all starts Monday, Labor Day, at 9AM, only on Different Radio, WRUR 88.5 FM and WITH 90.1 FM.

Austin based Sweet Spirit, is punchy, powerhouse party band. Their raucous live shows earned them a fan in Britt Daniel of Spoon, who gave them a leg up on their debut album. Sweet Spirit performs music from their follow-up record called St. Mojo and share wild and fun stories befitting a wild and fun band on the next World Café.

On his new album City Music, Kevin Morby, taps into his love of Lou Reed and Patti Smith to craft characters and songs that evoke New York City. Morby was also inspired by a 2015 New York Times article called "The Lonely Death of George Bell" to write about the solitude of living in a big metropolis.

Phoenix holed up in an old Paris opera house in 2014 to begin recording their new album Ti Amo. The French band turned their feelings of unrest about the tumultuous times around them into music that serves as an escape. Ti Amo explores “love, desire, lust and innocence” with the a romanticized flair of summer discos in Italy.

It's the first day of summer and what better way to celebrate than with Yacht Rock? Kick back with an ice –cold beverage and enjoy an ocean of smooth soft-listening music made in the late 70s and early 80s by artists like Toto, the Doobie Brothers, Hall & Oates and Kenny Loggins. Note: this show is best enjoyed on a luxurious boat wearing a Captain hat.

In 2015 (Sandy) Alex G stepped out of his bedroom and gave us his first album, Beach Music, earning himself a place alongside Frank Ocean on two of the pop sensation’s albums, Blonde and Endless. Now, Alex G is back and at it again, sweeping us up through intimate songs with a homemade feel, on his most recent album, Rocket.
