Trying to will summer into being? Crank the balmy, breezy songs of the French pop group Tahiti 80, which function as the aural equivalent of Vitamin D — or even a quick vacation to the sunny isle for which the band is named.

Past, Present, Future is an irresistible batch of electro-tinged pop music, fueled by holiday-in-the-sun melodies and the slightly breathless, effortlessly sensuous vocals of Xavier Boyer. At the album's apex: "Darlin'," a swinging romp that could just as easily anchor the soundtrack to a Dean Martin caper. A sugary nod to the delicious pull of temptation, the song slides timelessly from era to era while keeping one eye squarely on the dance floor.
