There are a bunch of cool shows happening this weekend, including Winter Roots at the Trumansburg Conservatory of the Arts, Tafelmusik at Cornell, and the F.I.R.E Festival at the Center for the Arts of Homer. And dozens of other local and regional bands will be onstage throughout the area in the coming week!

Circles Around The Sun and Mikaela Davis return to Deep Dive – this time together! – while +LIVE+ comes to the State Theatre for an acoustic show that was postponed from November. Also, the Center for the Arts of Homer hosts Jim Messina and Red Baraat, and Come Back to Earth pays tribute to the late Mac Miller at Deep Dive.

Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue bring their “Shorty Gras” tour to the State Theatre, blues guitar blaster Eric Gales returns to the Center for the Arts of Homer, and legendary Irish singer Karan Casey is back for a benefit at the First Unitarian Society of Ithaca. Plus, Hank Roberts joins the Galactic Escort Service at Deep Dive, and Jonathan Richman returns to Central New York!

St. Paul and the Broken Bones return to the State Theatre, Ladysmith Black Mambazo visits the Hangar Theatre, Aimee Mann and Godspeed You! Black Emperor play sold-out shows at the Center for the Arts of Homer, a bunch of local Americana bands team up at the Argos Warehouse and indie-rockers and DJs will converse on the Community School of Music and Arts for Ithaca Underground’s annual fundraiser!

DoosTrio plays Cornell’s Bailey Hall, Hanhzi Wang comes to Ithaca College and jazz saxophonist Joel Frahm plays Deep Dive. Plus, several of Ithaca’s top singer-songwriters join forces on Sunday afternoon for a benefit show in Perry City!

Dingonek Street Band – led by former Ithacans Bobby Spellman and Emily Pecoraro – returns to Ithaca to mark the release of its second album, “Arwe,” at the Upstairs on Saturday night. Also, Bumpin Uglies come to Deep Dive, Thousands of One and Double Tiger return to the Range, Destiny La Vibe headlines a Valentine’s Extravaganza at Deep Dive, Crys Matthews plays the Beacon on Aurora Concert Series, and the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine plays a sold-out concert at Cornell.

Kentucky-based Joslyn and the Sweet Compression come to Deep Dive, Band of Horses returns to the State Theatre, and the fifth annual Bob Marley Birthday Tribute Benefit concert is back!
