15+ shows to see this weekend: Jan. 17-19

Winter may have returned for the weekend, but there are a bunch of cool shows happening in the coming days to help warm your spirits. Phish's Mike Gordon plays the State Theatre Friday, British punk legends the Adicts come to the Haunt on Saturday, and many top local bands will be performing at various venues around town.

Punk Rock Saturday Night

Formed in 1976, the British punk band the Adicts are known for their “Clockwork Orange”-inspired image and catchy songs. Their early 1980s albums “Songs of Praise” and “Sound of Music” produced several hits, and their stage shows are known to border on chaos with the use of confetti, costumes and magic tricks. Ithaca's own Secret Service Men will open the show with their fiery brand of old school, politically inspired punk rock.
