This weekend, Seedstock will once again take place just outside of Cortland at the former site of Reed’s Seeds (hence its name). Basically "a humungous house party," as co-founder Chris Merkley described the festival a few years ago, Seedstock XI kicks off at 5 p.m. Friday and runs through Sunday afternoon, with a mix of local, regional and national bands performing on two stages.
There’s a lot of music on tap this weekend in and around Ithaca, including Latin jazz, classic rock, blues, psychedelia, old-time and much more. Plus, one of the area’s leading composers will host a release show for his new album!
The Downtown Ithaca Summer Concert Series continues Thursday July 25, with a special show, as local roots-rock band Kitestring will mark the release of its new album, “7 Years Good Luck,” on the Bernie Milton Pavilion stage at 7 p.m.
Lake Street Dive returns to Beak & Skiff Apple Orchards in LaFayette on Friday, July 26, to co-headline a show with theWood Brothers. The show is sold out, but Lake Street Dive just announced an Oct. 19 concert at Geneva’s Smith Opera House, for which tickets go on sale this week.
