Edie Brickell, Matmos, Elvis Costello

Oo La La

This is Edie Brickell's first album of new material in nearly a decade.

Someone Took the Words Away

Elvis Costello's latest CD comes only a year after he released the experimental rock album, When I Was Cruel. On North he tries his hand at original torch ballads.

Frozen Dub

Originally released in 1976, this is one of the all-time great dub records from one of Jamaica's most influential Reggae producers.

Slow Motion

Pole is the alter ego for German musician Stefan Betke. Here he mixes his electronic dub with Ohio rapper Fat Jon.

For The Trees

If you liked Bjork's album, Vespertine you can give some of the credit to Martin Schmidt and Drew Daniel, otherwise known as Matmos. The two produced much of the music for Vespertine on laptop computers. On their latest solo album, they offer an unusual remembrance of the Civil Wars in England and the U.S.

I Am Sound

Part psychedelic rock, part modern pop with a dose of humor, the Dandy Warhols draw inspiration for this tune from David Bowie.
