Practice Makes Perfect
Practice at Pete’s returns with a special Halloween show featuring host bands Secret Service Men (who released their debut album this summer) and Cobra Cadaver battling it out after an opening set from Cool Cough, a local Misfits tribute band.

Trio Grande
Three of Ithaca’s top singer-songwriters – Joe Crookson, Frank Raponi, Peter Glanville – join forces for the first time as The Real Treats to celebrate the birthday of Doug Levine, executive director of the State Theatre.

They Are Iron Men
Just in time for Halloween, Band of Doom returns to pay tribute to one of metal’s most influential bands: Black Sabbath! Bassist Freddy Villano and friends will tackle a couple of dozen classics from the British band’s deep catalog

Together Again
After reuniting this summer following a four-year hiatus, Jimkata continues its Halloween weekend tour of upstate New York with a stop in Syracuse. The trio of Aaron Gorsch, Evan Friedell, and Packy Lunn will be playing songs from the band’s new album, “Bonfires,” plus many favorites from Jimkata’s earlier records. Rochester’s Roots Collider will open the show

Keeping It Country
Marty Stuart and the Fabulous Superlatives – guitarist Kenny Vaughan, drummer Harry Stinson, bassist Chris Scruggs – return to upstate New York for a sold-out show. Stuart has been one of the biggest champions of traditional country music, hosting “The Marty Stuart Show” on RFD-TV for many years, opening the Congress of Country Music in his Mississippi hometown, and releasing many stellar albums that showcase his sublime musicianship.

Tricks and Treats
Metasequoia will be the featured band at “All Hallow’s Eve,” a family-friendly event in downtown Ithaca that features a costume contest, fire spinning, juggling from Nate the Great, and much more!

Double Feature
Bryan Davis’s Frankentet will provide the sonic backdrop to two legendary silent horror movies: “The Phantom of the Opera” (1925) at 7 p.m., and “Nosferatu” (1922) at 9 p.m. Percussionist will be joined by keyboardist Emmett Scott, bassist Brian Dozoretz, drummer Ashley Ickes, and guitarist Tenzin Chopak to improvise appropriately spooky soundtracks to the films.

Ready to Rock
Two years after reuniting for their first show in a quarter-century, the legendary Cortland-based heavy rock trio Creeper returns for another show. Marc Ryan, Dameon Torrey and Pat Pascucci will draw songs from the band’s early catalog along with a few other surprises. Ruination and Throw Down Cold will open the show.
