GrassRoots is looming later this week, but there are plenty of local shows to help get you up to speed in the next few days – including more Culture Camp dances – as well as a new Phish-related documentary.
Dancin’ at Culture Camp
The fourth annual GrassRoots Culture Camp continues its nightly dances with three more events this week. Monday’s Cajun Night will feature members of Feufollet from Lafayette, La., joined by various guests. Tuesday’s Swing Night will welcome Western New York favorites Bobby Henrie and the Goners, and Wednesday’s Zydeco Night will feature GrassRoots staple Preston Frank from Solieu, La., backed by Donna the Buffalo.

Bustin’ Strings
Dryden’s “Music in the Hollow” summer concert series continues with the Notorious Stringbusters, the high-energy bluegrass band led by siblings Ash and Ry Broadwell.

Moon Music
New York City's acclaimed Aeolus Quartet will present a special concert to mark
the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing and Cornell's ties to space exploration. The program will feature Oswaldo Golijov’s “Tenebrae,” which was inspired by the "Pale Blue Dot" photo taken by Voyager 1 of the Earth and the basis of Carl Sagan’s book of the same name.

Return of the King
Reggae icon King Yellowman will return to Ithaca for an all-ages show. The dancehall toaster made his name in the 1980s with a series of bodacious songs, and he has continued to release catchy, melodic music despite battling a variety of health woes over several decades. The Analogue Sons will open the show.

Goin’ Downtown

Phish Philm
“Between Me and My Nind,” a new film that explores the creative process of Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio, will screen in Ithaca for one day only. Directed by Steven Cantor, the film follows Anastasio as he tackles new projects, including some of his most personal music to date as well as Phish’s ambitious New Year’s Eve show at Madison Square Garden.

HR comes to Ithaca
Paul “HR” Hudson will bring his PMA Tour to Ithaca for an all-ages show.
