Sounds of the Harvest
Treleaven Winery will host its annual Harvest Festival, with music provided by City Limits at 1-4 p.m. Saturday and by Cruise Control at 1-4 p.m. Sunday. TV Eyes
EyeVeeTeeVee, which transmits analog video on site and video streams off site, will host a launch party. Curated by multidisciplinary artist and Grayhaven artist-in-residence Jen Kutler, EyeVeeTeeVee will have curated video and media art content streaming around the clock from motel. Leading off the night, Park Doing will reprise “The Anthropology of Television Noise,” which includes video with interactive commentary that examines the historical evolution of television.

Stories of the Blues
Acclaimed bluesman and storyteller Scott Ainslie will perform a house concert. A walking encyclopedia of American roots music, Ainslie excels on a variety of instruments – guitar, diddley bow, banjo – and is an expert on blues legend Robert Johnson.

Variety Show
The annual Little Apple Fall Follies (aka LAFF) is local talent showcase with more than 20 stage acts, ranging from singing groups and instrumental numbers to rock and jazz bands. Proceeds from the event go to support community grants from Rotary and Savage Clubs as well as the work of the Ithaca City School District Fine Arts Booster Group. Emcees for the show are Brett Bossard, executive director of Cinemapolis, and Joey Steinhagen, artistic director of Running to Places Theatre Company.

End Times
Composer William Gregg will reprise ”Notes From The End of Time”; in 2013, Sustainable Tompkins honored Gregg with the “Signs of Sustainability” award for this creation, a suite of 13 futuristic synthesizer-computer-acoustic musical works “that explore the consequences of human alteration of biogeochemical cycles that sustain life on our planet, as well as his speaking about the themes and motivations for the individual works.” Gregg will perform in real-time on keyboard, acoustic guitar and electric violin, and will be joined by video artistry by Evan Stewart.

Dead Reckoning
Box of Rain returns to Ithaca; the Philadelphia-based band focuses on the Grateful Dead era of1968 to 1974, which were marked by the massive contributions of Ron “Pigpen” McKernan on vocals, keyboards and harmonica. Folk Fellow
Folk legend Peter Yarrow – of Peter, Paul & Mary fame – will return to central New York. Ready for Release

Russian Revue

Moving ‘Heaven and Earth’
