We exit July and head into August with a bevy of shows, including Andrew Bird and Iron & Wine, Deer Tick, Don McLean, and Graham Nash.
And while Lyle Lovett and the High Kings have sold out their shows in Geneva and Homer, respectively, there are plenty of other concerts around the region in the coming week!

String Cure
Home Remedy continues the Newfield Music Series at Mill Park. In 2018, the folk-pop duo of Lydia Garrison and Rosie Newton released their self-titled debut album, which they recorded at Sunwood Recording in Trumansburg. Find out more about them here!

Lipp Service
After a busy week at the GrassRoots Festival and Culture Camp, Aaron Lipp returns to South Hill Cider. A native of Naples, N.Y., and a master of many instruments – guitar, fiddle, Hammond B3 organ – and styles – old-time, bluegrass, rockabilly, country, gospel – Lipp is a familiar face to upstate music fans through a variety of projects and collaborations in recent years. Ready to Rock
The Town of Lansing’s “Music in the Park” summer concert series continues at Myers Park, with Iron Horse showcasing its potent brand of southern rock. Fronted by singer Mark Armstrong, the long-running band also includes ace guitarist Shawn Manning, keyboardist Lisa Bloom, drummer Steve Peck, and bassist Ron Brock.

Raising the Roof
SingTrece and Stone Cold Miracle return to the Downtown Ithaca Summer Concert, bringing their blend of soul, gospel, funk, and rock to the Commons. Reuniting last year after a few years, the band includes powerhouse vocalist SingTrece is joined by guitarist-vocalist-songwriter Dustin Stuhr, bassist Andy Adelewitz, drummer Zaun Marshburn, and guitarist Peter DeBoer.

Summer Jazz
The Marriott Summer Jazz Series continues at Monks on the Commons with the trio of Dennis Winge, Harry Aceto, and Kevin Cheli, who will play a variety of originals and standards at the downtown venue.

Funk for Lunch
The Funky Lunch continues in downtown Ithaca, with some of Ithaca's favorite DJs spinning disco, house, and funk every Friday from noon to 1:30 p.m. This family-friendly series is curated by DJ Proper Philth, who says: “Bring your kids, bring your roller skates, bring a sandwich. It's the Funky Lunch!” This week’s DJ is Rockmon.

It’s a Wrap!
The Cortland Main Street Music Series concludes its 2022 season, continuing with the same focus on presenting a mix of top-notch national, regional, and local acts. This week’s show is headlined by Upstate, the downstate acoustic vocal group featuring Lansing native Mary Webster that has made several memorable appearances in Ithaca. They’ll be joined by the Miss Tess Duo, featuring Miss Tess and Thomas Bryan Eaton – they play everything from jazz and swing to country and more, as they demonstrated at the GrassRoots Festival last weekend. Local singer-songwriter Cloey Tierno rounds out the lineup.

Get On My Lawn!
The Lawncert series returns, with host band Venissa Santi 4tet joined by Go Go Troubadour – the guitar-voice duo of Olive Mitra and Florinda Larkin, who perform Samba and Bossa nova classic songs from the Brazilian songbook. Santi will be joined in the 4tet by Michael Stark on keys, Walt Lorenzut on bass, and Olive Mitra on drums. Returning to Rock
Leo and the Maydays conclude their weekly July residency in downtown Ithaca, showcasing their distinctive brand of alternative indie pop, as displayed on their recent album, “Freshman.” They'll be joined by local singer-songwriter Harry Nichols (Noon Fifteen, The Whiskey Crisis). Says Leo: "This is LATM's last residency date there and to celebrate we are hosting a pajama party. United for the Cause
The iMatter Festival 2022: Reset! comes to the Southern Tier. Pie Guy
Touring to celebrate the 50th anniversary of his iconic song “American Pie,” Don McLean returns to the Finger Lakes region. Of course, he’s written several other memorable songs, including “Vincent,” “Castles in the Air,” and “And I Love You So.”

Graham Nash returns to Central New York. A two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee - with Crosby, Stills, and Nash and with the Hollies – Nash was also inducted twice into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame (as a solo artist and with CSN) and he is a GRAMMY Award winner. “This Path Tonight,” his most recent solo album, came out in 2016, and he’s been busy working on several new projects.
