    Acclaimed singer-songwriter-guitarist Margaret Glaspy will play a solo acoustic show at the Center for the Arts of Homer on Sunday, May 5, and at the Little Theatre in Rochester on Friday, May 31.
  • Buffalo’s Strange Standard comes to Deep Dive, Rochester’s Bad Bloom returns to Sacred Root Kava Bar, and Margaret Glaspy and Rickie Lee Jones come to the Center for the Arts of Homer.   • Moon Hooch comes to Deep Dive, the Ithaca Goth Prom debuts in Enfield, Hiroya Tsukamoto returns to Trumansburg, and Donna the Buffalo rides into Geneva. Plus, Cornell Music plays tribute to local jazz legend Steve Brown, and the Konrad Paszkudzki Trio comes to SUNY Cortland.

  • Rubblebucket makes its State Theatre debut, guitar legend Adrian Legg comes to Trumansburg, Erica Dawn Lyle plays Sacred Root Kava Bar, and KISS founding member Ace Frehley visits The L in Horseheads. Also, Bruce Cockburn and Blackmore’s Knight play sold-out shows in Ithaca and Homer, respectively, on Saturday night, and there are a bunch of Halloween-themed shows in the coming days!
  • On Saturday night, Rubblebucket will make its long-overdue return to Ithaca to perform at the State Theatre. It’s the synth-pop band’s first show at the venerable venue after years of appearances at area festivals such as GrassRoots and the Big Mean BBQ and clubs such as The Haunt and Castaways.
  • Marking 50 years of honing their pioneering fusion of jazz, funk, and rock, the Headhunters will bring their anniversary tour to Deep Dive on Thursday night. The band’s last visit to Ithaca was in 2010 when it performed at Castaways – the same venue space that Deep Dive currently occupies.
  • Acoustic supergroup Hawktail + Väsen come to the Center for the Arts of Homer, Practice at Presents hosts a cool four-band show at Deep Dive, the Headhunters bring their 50th-anniversary tour to Deep Dive, and the Indigo Girls return to the State Theatre for a sold-out show. Plus, “Start Making Sense” and “Joan Baez: I Am a Noise” continue their runs at Cinemapolis!

Plus, The Invincible Czars return from Texas for a silent-movie event at Cornell’s Sage Chapel, and “Stop Making Sense” continues its run at Cinemapolis.
  • Dingonek Street Band – led by former Ithacans Bobby Spellman and Emily Pecoraro – returns to Ithaca to mark the release of its second album, “Arwe,” at the Upstairs on Saturday night. Also, Bumpin Uglies come to Deep Dive, Thousands of One and Double Tiger return to the Range, Destiny La Vibe headlines a Valentine’s Extravaganza at Deep Dive, Crys Matthews plays the Beacon on Aurora Concert Series, and the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine plays a sold-out concert at Cornell.
